Reflexology Path of Harmony Senior Living Community at Mysore
Updated: Mar 15, 2022
Foot reflexology is a healing mechanism that is as good as the old-fashioned foot rub you give your spouse. A recently completed study by scientists at the Oregon Research Institute (ORI) confirmed that walking on a cobblestone mat surface resulted in significant blood pressure reduction and improved balance and physical performance among adults 60 and over.

Senior citizens walking on this reflexology path decrease pain by improving mood and reducing stress. Helps the organs function at their best. It allows energy to flow freely.
Stimulate your nervous system now through reflexology therapy
As you age, your nerve endings become less sensitive in many parts of your body like the foot nerves, hand fingers, etc. Reflexology stimulates over 7,000 different nerve endings on each foot, in each session helping to increase their function and reactivity. The neural pathways like muscles can be worked by walking on reflexology path regularly. It enhances your brain’s ability to handle inputs & output sensory signals more effectively. Your cognitive powers also get boosted along with your memory.

Reflexology path at Harmony Retirement Community
At Harmony, through our survey, we got to know that many senior citizens have blood circulation problems. One of the most common ones is varicose veins. Walking on a Reflexology path increases blood flow and lets oxygen be cycled through the vital organs. This circulation results in faster healing 0and re-growth of damaged cells. Thus giving a check to varicose veins.
We have planned to build the reflexology path 1.4 km within the campus. And, we have strategically located around the swing park. And is surrounded by a green garden.
